Apart from that, Belkin has also unveiled a power bank and power delivery wall charger collection. Belkin’s new variant Wemo smart house hub with Apple HomeKit functionality, announced this past year, has finally gone on sale in the united states as well.
The Boost Up Bold by Belkin appears to be an upgraded version of the organization’s BoostUp wireless charger. But, Belkin has added some new colour options to the device. Belkin said that the wireless chargers support 10W charging, which might be sufficient for rapid charging on Apple, Samsung, and other Qi-enabled devices. These devices are designed to reduce the amount of electromagnetic noise and also to guarantee full device functionality, says Belkin.
Belkin’s 2018 portfolio of portable power products, includes the Belkin Boost Up Wireless Charging Stand that utilizes a shelf to support both landscape and portrait charging. Belkin says that there is a substantial amount of shielding, precision resistors, superior materials, and components inside their charging pad that offers maximum charging efficiency.
The Boost Up Car Mount is a wireless charger for your vehicle. It comes with support for dash or window mounting and accommodates phones of different dimensions, Belkin says. The company has promised full device functionality including the usage of Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, LTE and much more while charging. Additionally, it has an extra USB port for charging.
Furthermore, there is the Boost Up Double Wireless Charging Pad that unifies two Boost Up Bold chargers into one pad to enable charging of two devices at the same time. Further, a ‘Wireless Charging System’ has been established as a commercial-grade wireless charging platform for public applications. It has various mounting options such as top-mount, flush-mount, and sub-surface mount. Belkin states the product is directed at commercial applications such as seminar rooms, user desktops, retail, restaurants, hospitality/hotels, along with others.
Belkin has also released two USB Type-C wall sockets: the Home Charger 27W and the Double Port Home Charger 27W, each of which operate with larger devices such as laptops and tablets. The power bank will fast charge Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 enabled devices up to 80 percent in 35 minutes, says Belkin.
As of this moment, the prices and availability details are not available yet. But, Belkin claims that the Bold and Stand might arrive by this spring or summer, and Mount, Dual, and System are scheduled for launch this summer.
Meanwhile, the Belkin’s WeMo Apple HomeKit Bridge is finally up for sale, priced at $40 (roughly Rs. 2,500), CNET reports. Apple HomeKit is a set of iOS-based smart house protocols which enables users to command compatible devices together in the manufacturer’s house program. With all the ‘bridge’, users will be able to use a plug-in hub to connect existing Wemo devices to the HomeKit.
